Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how ZipLeaf, a network of online business directories owned and operated by Netcode, Inc. (“ZipLeaf”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our websites and services. It applies to every ZipLeaf directory. By using the site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The short version

We collect the personal information we need to run the directory and provide the features you use. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. The only third-party analytics and advertising services we use are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and they are only enabled after you consent. The detail follows below.

Information we collect

  • Account information you provide when you register or manage a listing: your name, email address, phone number, your relationship to the business, and billing details where applicable.
  • Listing & business content you publish: business names, descriptions, categories, locations, hours, images, links, articles and other details you choose to add. Listing content is intended to be displayed publicly.
  • Messages & enquiries you send or receive through the site, including contact-form messages and customer-service requests.
  • Payment information for paid features. Card details are entered on and processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical & usage data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and referring pages, collected to keep the service secure, diagnose problems and — only with your consent — measure traffic.

How we use your information

We use the information above to operate and secure the directory; create and manage your account; publish and maintain your listings; process payments and send receipts; deliver service emails such as sign-in links, verification messages and notifications; respond to enquiries and support requests; prevent fraud, spam and abuse; comply with our legal obligations; and — only where you have consented — measure site traffic and display advertising.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it so that third parties can market to you. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.

Service providers we rely on

To run ZipLeaf we use a small number of trusted providers who process data strictly on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the service:

  • Google Analytics & Google AdSense — website analytics and advertising. These are off by default and load only after you accept analytics/advertising cookies (see “Cookies & consent” below). Google may use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with its own policies.
  • Payment processing — our payment providers handle card transactions for paid features securely on their platforms.
  • Email delivery — our email provider sends the transactional messages described above.
  • Hosting & infrastructure — our hosting and storage providers run the servers and store the data that power the site.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ZipLeaf, our users or the public.

Cookies & consent

We use a small number of essential cookies that are required for the site to function — for example your session, security and your saved cookie choice. For everything else we use Google’s Consent Mode v2: analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.

Public information

Business listings are designed to be found, so the listing content you publish (including business name, contact details you add to the listing, descriptions and images) is publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines. Please only publish information you are comfortable making public.

Your rights & choices

You can view and update your account information and listings at any time from your control panel. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including closing your account — contact us. We action verified requests in line with applicable law, including the GDPR for users in the EU/UK and similar privacy laws elsewhere. Where we rely on consent (such as analytics and advertising), you can withdraw it at any time.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal, accounting and security obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Public listing content remains visible until it is removed by you or by us.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: traffic is served over encrypted connections (TLS), passwords and sensitive credentials are protected, and access to personal data is limited to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

ZipLeaf operates globally and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

Children

ZipLeaf is intended for businesses and the general public and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
